And in winter, from simply strolling along the lake to hours of hiking in a winter wonderland – one holiday won't be enough to cover the 150 km of winter walking tracks available. Totally untouched winter landscapes are best explored with snow shoes – the Karwendel valleys or the picturesque village of Steinberg are the best starting points.
